About me

I am a mummy to two gorgeous boys who are my world. I had two very different pregnancy journeys that came at very different stages of my life. When I was pregnant with my second baby I felt a shift in my body. I had a calling, a pull to help and support every woman to have a birth that they want to talk about and be proud of. It was a strong feeling to help other mothers and families during this sacred, vulnerable time. I am passionate about enabling to have a positive impact on other people’s birth experiences.

I completed my training with Developing Doulas which was life changing for me. This confirmed to me that this is what I am meant to do in life. I feel honoured to call this my job and absolutely love what I do. I hope that my positive, supporting, and calming energy can flow towards you and alongside your birthing journey. I am here for you.

My history and experience

I have been a children’s nanny for 14 years, working with a variety of families supporting them on their parenting journey. I have a wealth of experience in immersing myself into a family, listening to the needs and hopes of parents, and adapting to support their care giving intentions.

In addition to this, I have worked in nurseries and held the role of teaching assistant in a school. My entire professional career has been centered around babies, children and families.

I completed my doula course with Developing Doulas.

I have also completed a sling workshop with East Surrey Slings.

I hold a paediatric first aid course.

What is a Doula?

A doula is a non medical professional who provides support to you and your family before, during and after birth. They are there to listen, be non-judgmental and advocate for you and your choices. A doula supports you throughout your birth journey, antenatally, during the birth and postnatally. They can also support you partner along side you (if you have one) and create a safe space where you feel empowered to make choices that are right for you.

My own parenting experience has taught me a lot about listening to myself and understanding my needs. I am passionate about empowering women to make their own choices and listening to them with intention and love. I am here to to support, nourish and hold space for you in whatever way you need it the most. I can’t wait to connect with you.

My motto is simple: to listen and advocate.
